Holiday apartment number 46 is near Belém, the place from where the Portuguese overseas discoveries started in the 15 cent. It is a calm neighbourhood, perfect for exploring the city and also to rest.
The apartment is a lovely attic-studio with a small terrace on the roof, on the second floor of building with an orientation facing the river and the bridge 25 Abril, favouring the entrance of abundant sun light.
If you are travelling by car you won't have any problems parking in the street, near the apartment.
It is almost like a doll-house, and has a nice view over the river and the bridge. It has 35 m2 and has been renovated to include the following:
* one small sleeping room with a double bed (130 cm wide) separated from the sitting room by a wooden and glass door. It communicates with the veranda and from there you can access to the terrace built on the roof;
* one sitting room double sofa-bed (120 cm wide), a fire place, satellite TV, Hi-fi;
* a kitchen with microwave, fridge with freezer, gas oven and stove, dishwasher, washing machine, and everything else you can possibly need to have a comfortable stay;
* one bathroom with shower.
In wintertime the apartment is heated with electric heaters.
We will welcome you with a bottle of cold “vinho verde” and a basket of fruit. You will also find some CDs with Portuguese music to complete your cultural experience in Lisbon.
Apartments number 6 and 46 are located at Ajuda/Belém.
It is the perfect place to conciliate sightseeing and exploring one of the Lisbon's typical neighbourhoods.

It is the ideal location for people travelling with children, wanting to walk around, discovering the history of the city, but also taking sometime to rest, be in contact with the nature, taking advantage of the proximity of the ocean or even taking the sightseeing train around the area.
This part of Lisbon is very calm. Here you will find one of the best farm farm-markets in Lisbon, running every morning, and all kind of food shops and restaurants.
It is at 10 minutes walking to the river Tejo, and the surrounded amazing area of Belém with parks, open-air restaurants, the impressive Monastery of Jerónimos (link 2) and the gardens arround it, the Belém tower, the Discoveries Monument (Padrão dos Descobrimentos) and also the modern cultural center (Centro Cultural de Belém), with the Design Museum, and offering always the best exhibitions and concerts (push to have access to the cultural program).
It is also at walking distance from 2 fascinating parks: Tropical garden (Jardim do Ultramar) and the Botanic garden (Jardim Botânico da Ajuda).
Even if the apartment looks a little bit out of the city centre, don't forget that Lisbon is a small city with only 1 million habitants, that the area is served with more than 5 buses, and that taking one of the 2 tramways to the city centre is one unforgettable experience!
Very close to the apartment you can catch the train to the beaches around Cascais (Estação de Comboios de Belém) and also the boat to cross the river (Take the boat (Cacilheiro) at Estação Fluvial de Belém and in 20 minutes you will be eating fresh fish or seafood or walking into the beach) or just to sightsee there.
The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport at 15 kilometres and the nearest international railway station is International Station of Santa Apolónia at 5 kilometres.
